I think every woman knows about killer heels. Shoes which are so beautiful and soooooo f*** high! Sorry, but I mean shoes you fell immediately in love with and you must own them – completely irrelevant if you can comfortable wear them or not.

Sure I have a pair of the them. I wore them exactly one time! 😀 I was in such pain. But that doesn’t matter, they look gorgeous! During my research of interesting exhibitions I discovered the exhibition “Killer Heels. The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe”. The exhibition looks at the high-heeled shoe’s rich and varied history and its enduring place in our popular imagination.
Deadly sharp stilettos, architecturally inspired wedges and platforms, and a number of artfully crafted shoes that defy categorization are featured among the selection of nearly 150 historic and contemporary heels on loan from designers, the renowned Brooklyn Museum costume collection housed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Bata Shoe Museum, and others.
Well known designers and fashion houses like Manolo Blahnik, Chanel, Christian Dior, Iris von Herpern, Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen, Prada…. are presented – of course! You won’t miss a famous designer.

Hmmm…the killer heel. I suppose the V&A exhibition last year was so appropriately titled, Pleasure and Pain because there definitely something about embracing the pain that is addictive so long as it’s well managed. In the same way we pursue sporting activities which often push out bodies out of their comfort zone in return for that rush provided by our own bodies through endorphins.
