Sometimes I stroll through bookstores, always in search of good books and new publications, which might be interesting for you and our #artbookfriday. When I am at a store I check every section. Really every single one! The following book I’ll present to you today was placed in the section for young adults. A little black book in my field of vision at that day.
The book cover has enchanted me directly. In front of it is the silhouette of fragrance icon Chanel No. 5. A really cool eye-catcher. The bottom of the flacon is scrubbed by Cinderella at least that’s my immagination. But if you take a closer look the illustrated girl has black hair and wears a costume with polka dots.
I opened the thin book and before I had a look on the first page, I saw pattern for clothes on the endpapers. The book is about Coco Chanel, about her life and her unbelievable talent and work. You need less than 10 minutes for reading this book. It’s a wonderful book for young people. The central plot is about a girl, who works hard and has a lot of creativity. It’s a book about the unique life of a great artist, designer and couturier. I grant I fell in love with the book – before I even took a closer look. The illustrations are wonderful, so I am sure you like it, too.
