A few weeks ago Museum Kunstpalast invited me to visit Düsseldorf and to check out the Zurbarán and Ego update exhibition. We already blogged about Ego update, so this blog post is about the perfect hotel to stay in while you visit those museums: Meliã. It’s located next to the underground station “Tonhalle/Ehrenhof”. When I entered my room, I was stunned. The room’s view over the city was amazing. In front of the hotel is the “Hofgarten” one of the oldest public parks in Düsseldorf. (Currently it is very dull, because the trees are brown and it was a rainy day when I stayed in Düsseldorf. The warm light inside the rooms made my stay more pleasant.) The hotel offers 201 rooms. They have sizes between 22m², 27m² or 33m². The executive junior suite is measuring 40m².
In the morning I checked out the breakfast of course. It was a very delicious. I like fresh fruits in the morning, so I took some pieces of pineapple and bowlers and ate a cinnamon roll. I forgot my mobile in the room, that’s why I couldn’t take any pictures. Well, that’s real life some times. But it looked like this:
I had no time to enjoy the wellness centre with two saunas, steam bath and an ice fountain relaxation area. Very unfortunately, but it sounds and looks really good! The sauna is open from 10 AM till 10 PM. The gym opens at 6AM and closes at 10PM.
During my complete stay at the hotel the staff was very polite and kind. Thanks to Museum Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf Marketing & Tourismus and Melia Hotel for this wonderful and pleasant stay in Düsseldorf!
