Everybody in Germany knows the “Kunstzeitung”. It’s an art newspaper, which appears monthly. This year the publishing house “Lindinger + Schmid” has its 25th birthday! CONGRATULATIONS!
Lindinger + Schmid celebrates this event with an art and design shop in Berlin. A reason for us, to visit the new store “elf schaufenster”.
It proposes new perspectives on familiar and unfamiliar objects in art, design and fashion, orchestrated in daring thematic ensembles, highlighting and interweaving the common threads in the oeuvre of artists and designers. ELF SCHAUFENSTER’s unique display brings Fine and Applied Arts together in a visually-compelling environment.
The salesroom is like a white cube with a lot of daylight. You can walk around and see different compositions of art, design and fashion like the “Wald”. I love it. Artists such as Georg Baselitz, Joseph Beuys, Sisi Wasabi, Cornelia Schleime or Takeshi Sawada are part of this arrangement.
This carpet is designed by Vivienne Westwood. Magnolia on black ground, it looks fantastic!
